Former Symantec exec Scott Whitney has joined Mimosa Systems as VP Product management.

T.M. Ravi, Mimosa's president and CEOsaid: “ I am pleased to have Scott Whitney on board as he will play an instrumental role in driving Mimosa’s next-generation live content archiving products that manage a wide range of electronic documents and unified communications including emails, files, calendar information, text and instant messages for rapid litigation discovery, regulatory compliance and business continuity.”

At Symantec Whitney was part of the product management team of Enterprise Vault, an integrated content archive and eDiscovery software business. Before joining Symantec, he led the product management team at Verity, which produced enterprise search and classification technology. Before that, he led the product management team at Inktomi where he managed Ultraseek, the industry's first enterprise search product that could be downloaded and installed in less than 30 minutes.
