New fast and fat Panasonic flash card

32GB and 20MB/sec SDHC format
Panasonic has introduced a 32GB SDHC flash card that can transfer data at 20MB/sec, 5MB/sec faster than SanDisk's equivalent product. No other card can match it.
SDHC stands for secure digital high capacity. Panasonic's RP-SDV32GU1K product becomes available in April and will cost something near the $700 mark. The SanDisk 32GB SDHC card is priced at half that, just $350. Cards in this format are used for video cameras. A competing CompactFlash format offers transfer speeds up to 45MB/sec, way faster. There's obviously much more technology development coming in this area.
