OCZ looks to join the fast fray

Like Intel, OCZ wants to bring a fast SATA II solid state disk (SSD) to the market.

Samsung has 64 and 128GB SATA II (3Gbit/s) multi-level cell (MLC) SSDs which will ship in the second quarter of this year.

New 32GB and 64GB SSDs from OCZ Technology will be re-branded versions of the forthcoming Samsung drives, according to Daily Tech.

OCZ will provide enhanced retail availability for the Samsung products, which will be predominantly available inside products such as notebook computers.

OCZ said prices would be $599 and $1099 for the 32GB and 64GB drives. They will be available at retail outlets in the next few weeks.
