Tray-less design

WiebeTech has introduced a 2-disk desktop RAID enclosure with very easy hard drive insertion.

The RYX200H supports four types of interface: eSATA; FireWire 400 and 800; and USB 2.0. The desktop cabinet could be used just for two serial ATA (SATA) disks instead of them being configured in a RAID 1 fashion.

There are three versions of the RTZ200H:-

RTX200H-SJ

- 2 TrayFree Bays, interface: eSATA
- Accepts SATA drives
- JBOD (Just a Bunch of Disks)

RTX200H-QJ

- 2 TrayFree Bays, Quad interface: FireWire 800, FireWire 400, USB2, eSATA
- Accepts SATA drives
- JBOD (Just a Bunch of Disks)

RTX200H-QR

- 2 TrayFree Bays, Quad interface: FireWire 800, FireWire 400, USB2, eSATA
- Accepts SATA drives
- RAID 0/1

The disks are hot-swappable and the box is priced at $500.

WiebeTech was purchased by CRU-DataPort of Vancouver, Washington, in January.
