HP Crack programme? No, no, not at all

posted on 01 May 2008 09:56

It's HPCtrack programme

UsingĀ an unfortunate-looking or sounding term QLogic has said the ESI GRoup has joined its HPCtrack programme. I read that as the HP Crack programme and did an immediate double-take. No, it's definitely HPCtrack, and HP has nothing whatever to do with crack.

Yersterday QLogic said it was the firstĀ  supplier to demonstrate its HBAs with a Microsoft system management product for virtual machines when it had actually demonstrated it for a beta release of said product. Is a bit of vagueness, a lack of precision or something creeping in?

HPCtrack is all about using QLogic InfiniBand products as an interconnect in high-performance computing, HPC. There's nothing at all to do with crack here. Must be me, too eager to see mnemonic-type connections.
