Foundry Networks is Pillar customer

Gives Foundry CIO great comfort level

Foundry Networks is standardising on Pillar's Axiom storage arrays for its production and remote environments. This is a nice win for Pillar.

Apparently Foundry's executive management specified that critical Oracle and Exchange applications must be safeguarded and the Axiom arrays help with that.

Foundry is centralizing its storage infrastructure around Pillar. It needs storage that helps ensure high availability and good performance from its applications, particularly Oracle and Exchange. Foundry also needed scalability because it intends to move to Exchange 2007, upgrade its business intelligence function, expand its sales force and implement new partner programs.

David Riley, Foundry's CIO, said complementary things about Pillar: “As Foundry continues to grow, our customers are continuously demanding more applications and data services, and if you don’t have a solid, efficient infrastructure, you won’t meet expected service levels. Pillar provided the lynchpin we need deliver the highest levels of application performance, data protection and measurable ROI for the company."

" I have a great comfort level with Pillar, knowing that the Axiom is designed to optimize my multiple applications, while driving down storage costs through greater efficiency.”
