UK: Skye Consult, leading IT consultancy and reseller, today announced the recent signing of a new contract to provide Evolution Securities Limited (“Evolution Securities”) with an enterprise iSCSI SAN solution. 

Following an in depth solution review and recommendation process, Skye Consult is now delivering Evolution Securities with site-to-site replication of data and a disaster-proof SAN environment.

Evolution Securities

Evolution is one of the leading and most active investment banks in the UK advising small and mid cap companies who are either seeking to list or who are already listed on the London Stock Exchange Full List or AIM.  They provide corporate finance and corporate broking advice, equity research, institutional sales and trading, market making and fixed income research and execution.

The Requirement

To meet the demands of its expanding business, Evolution Securities enlisted the help of consultancy partner Skye Consult to design and implement a large, readily available, replicated storage solution that could support all of its operations.

Evolution Securities initially requested an extensive review process to be completed by Skye Consult profiling all of the leading storage solutions available.  Following this review, and on recommendation from Skye Consult, Evolution Securities opted for an enterprise-ready iSCSI-based SAN solution from Dell Equallogic.

The Solution

The SAN solution consists of multiple Dell Equallogic PS Series storage arrays, providing a large amount of tiered SAS and SATA storage, and is reported to be one of the largest Dell Equallogic iSCSI SAN installations  in the UK.
