Maui sort of surfaces at EMC World

Tucci keynote doesn't mention it; session abstract does

Today's opening EMC World keynote from CEO Joe Tucci did not mention Maui, the software part of EMC's much-heralded web 2.0/cloud computing HW/SW combo.

But a session abstract does mention it. The Future of Rich Media session is described thus: "Establish EMC thought leadership in the evolving world of rich media content and business models. This session describes relevant EMC capabilities, technologies (including Documentum, MPFS, Maui, ITS, and Lifeline), and a framework that helps media companies, service providers, and consumers get the most out of new rich media services and content. "

At the end of this session, attendees will will be able to:

1. Understand the unique challenges facing content producers, distributors, and consumers.
2. Understand how EMC technologies solve problems of massive scale and bandwidth.
3. Understand how EMC can help monetize rich media content.

That's nice.
