Leading analyst firm Places Mimosa in Visionaries Quadrant of ITs Magic Quadrant for Active E-mail Archiving

READING, UK — May 27, 2008 — Mimosa Systems, a leader in live content archiving solutions, today announced that, Gartner, Inc. has placed the company in the Visionaries Quadrant of its “Magic Quadrant for Active E-mail Archiving.”
Mimosa believes that its placement in this prestigious quadrant is a reflection of Mimosa's continued “ability to execute” in a number of strategic areas, as well as its “completeness of vision” in the email archiving and eDiscovery space.
Mimosa now has more than 470 customers worldwide who recognize the value of the Mimosa NearPoint™ content archiving solution in addressing critical eDiscovery requirements and managing storage costs. In fact, in 2007 the company experienced triple-digit-growth and in 2008 has added offices in China, Japan and Australia to its worldwide locations and expanded its staff by 100 percent across North America, Europe, Asia and India .
The company also continued to execute on delivering thought leadership in the eDiscovery and archiving space. And, perhaps most importantly, Mimosa has executed on product development, with additional progress on a number of fronts, including:
* Expanding the integrated content archive to capture email, free-range files on the fileshare, instant message conversations, content located on back-up tapes, desktops and laptops.
* Introduced content monitoring that provides email alerts for administrators when sensitive content is detected in an email, or in files at rest on the file share.
* Continued development of its elastic grid architecture to support very large deployments.
The Gartner report stated, “Although many vendors can provide products with some level of compliance capture and archiving, to be considered an enterprise e-mail active-archiving vendor for this research, the solution must offer mailbox management and compliance capture to ensure that all records are captured in the archive, whether for legal discovery reasons, or for the unique compliance supervision requirements of the financial industry. Requirements continue to evolve, increasingly stratifying vendors with robust solutions from those that address fairly basic requirements.”
Mimosa NearPoint architecture, with its software platform and applications for archiving, eDiscovery, end-user search, storage optimization and recovery has proven to be a singularly “robust” solution. In 2005, Mimosa introduced an innovative approach for seamless and comprehensive capture and eDiscovery of content and metadata based on transaction log shipping that is supported in addition to traditional MAPI capture and journaling.
Again in 2007, Mimosa raised the bar by delivering a grid-based archiving infrastructure, allowing for virtually unlimited scalability, availability and single-point management and provisioning using commodity servers and storage across the largest of enterprise and hosting environments.
A Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Mimosa has been recognized by Microsoft for its competencies in networking infrastructure solutions, ISV/software solutions and advanced infrastructure solutions
“We're very pleased that, in my opinion, Gartner has recognized our leading position in the exploding archiving and eDiscovery market,” said T.M. Ravi, CEO of Mimosa Systems. “It's gratifying to know that our work in continually developing our product—now the industry's most comprehensive unstructured information management software solution—is, according to my perception, acknowledged and provides customers around the globe significant value across the board.”
