FALLS CHURCH, Va. and HOPKINTON, Mass., June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- CSC (NYSE: CSC - News) and EMC Corporation (NYSE: EMC - News) today announced that they intend to collaborate on delivering new offerings around large-scale information infrastructures and next-generation data center operations to help their joint customers get more value for their business information.

The two companies aim to combine systems engineering, design and client solution-development expertise to manage global, information-based IT infrastructures that lower clients' total operating costs while increasing availability, scalability and security of their data center systems. The focus of the collaboration will be on developing new information technology (IT) solutions and services that address key areas of information management including the automation of data center operations, information protection, virtualization and compliance.
