LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – June 19, 2008 – Today’s information intensive business environment demands the use of effective technology strategies, especially when it comes to disaster recovery, security, and the increasing reality of data proliferation.

In an effort to provide clients with the ability to remotely protect data residing on their desktop computers and laptops, Acxiom® Corporation (Nasdaq: ACXM) today announced a new partnership with EMC Corporation (NYSE: EMC), the world leader in information infrastructure solutions.

Acxiom Online Backup-X is based on EMC’s Mozy remote backup service and enables Acxiom clients and prospects to store and recover files on-demand from their desktop, saving thousands of dollars in expenses and countless hours of recovery time.

“Traditionally, businesses have had limited backup options, except for local methods including tape, disk, DVD or external hard drives. According to the National Archives & Records Administration in Washington, D.C., 93 percent of companies that lost their data center for 10 days or more due to a disaster filed for bankruptcy within one year of the disaster. Of those companies, 50 percent filed for bankruptcy immediately. Additionally, a Price Waterhouse Coopers survey calculated that a single incident of data loss costs businesses an average of $10,000.
