posted on 11 July 2008 10:12
Xeround is a Bellevue, Washington-based startup in the database virtualization area and it has raised $16 million in a second venture capital funding round.
Xeround was founded in 2002 and is developing, at its Isreali-located R&D center, a live, scalable Intelligent Data Grid (IDG) that can unify existing databases and enable the rapid launch of new services. Its virtualization capabilities provide a single, logical view across many legacy databases and enables a unified and scalable data store using virtualized partitions which ensure real-time access to data.
The company has a strong focus on the telecommunications industry. It has raised $32 million so far.
