Reports
Networked Home Storage
posted on 13 July 2008 04:33
Blocks & Files is preparing a report on the networked home storage market.
We are seeing a coming together and an overlap of media serving, file sharing and file protection between devices such as media players (TVs, music players, hifi) PCs (Windows and Mac), cloud storage service providers such as Mozy and Carbonite, external storage suppliers (Buffalo, Iomega, LaCie, Thecus, etc.), games consoles and remote access. Separate islands of intelligent device use in the home are converging with networking and file/media storage being a key part of the process.
The report will provide an introduction to the topic, an overview of the issues, technologies and the trends in that area, and a descriptive list of suppliers and products.
The report is scheduled to be available by the end of September.
If you manufacture or supply products and services in this area and would like to be involved please get in touch.
