Asempra continuously protects Exchange 2007
posted on 21 July 2008 08:11
Exchange 2007 can have its operations continuously protected with Asempra's v2.7 upgrade of its Business Continuity Server (BCS).
BCS protects Microsoft SQL, Exchange, and Windows File Server applications and data, capturing and indexing all data events to create a virtualized data store that allows instantaneous recovery to any point-in-time.
Asempra says BCS 2.7 release provides new levels of scalability to support larger and consolidated Exchange 07 and SQL applications designed for midrange customers. It believes customers can save as much as $150,000 by eliminating the need to buy and manage multiple other data protection and recovery products. BCS deployment also cuts operating costs related to application and data recovery.
Asempra suggests deploying BCS 2.7 before upgrading to Exchange 2007 as this can be a potential trouble spot for Exchange availability. The product is immediately available with prices starting at $19,500.
