It's amongst the worst IT nightmares. Disaster recovery (DR) turns into Disaster Continuity because the DR processes don't work.

DR is your last stand. If it fails then your IT infrastructure could suffer a catastrophic loss. Continuity Software's RecoverGuard product checks your DR arrangements between host and DR sites and identifies gaps in coverage, such as un-replicated data on areplicated hiosts or device group inconsistencies.

The company says the product is worth having because data centers change all the time and source and DR data centers can get out of sync. It ran a DR coverage check on an unidentified US electric company and in two days found 36 configuration gaps, some of them severe. Download a white paper about this below.
