Getting crowded in the Green Grid

CommVault signs up
In a tick-the-green-box move CommVault has joined The Green Grid, the IT world's most prestigious and credible data center energy-saving organisation.
CommVault says its Sympana data management and protection suite is green because it can eliminate redundant copies of data. It can also help to allocate data to the appropriate storage tier and so stop power-guzzling fast drives being used to hold lightly-accessed data. In an IT world seemingly heading unstoppably towards universal adoption of green data center standards no data center supplier can afford not to have a green makeover.
